Grand Lisboa features one of the world’s most distinctive-looking skyscrapers. The hotel’s tower contains 47 floors and 430 hotel rooms and suites. In front of it is another building with a distinct appearance: a spherical, bulb-like glass structure with a pointed base. This casino features 800 gaming tables and 1,000 slot machines.
History
The Grand Lisboa has only been established for six years, despite its exterior’s resemblance to the 1980s. The hotel casino resort was developed by Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man, both of Hong Kong. Sociedade de Turismo e Diverses de Macau (or “The Society of Traveling and Entertainment of Macau Limited” in English) was the corporation that monopolized Macau’s gaming sector.
The restaurants and casino debuted on February 11, 2007, while the hotel opened in December 2008, over two years later.
Lodging
Over 400 (430 to be exact) hotel rooms and suites are available here. Each room and suite include a Turkish steam bath as well as a Jacuzzi. There are Superior, Corner, and Suite rooms available. Access to the hotel’s facilities, which include a swimming pool, a fitness center, the Lisboa Spa, Le Salon, the business center, and limousine service, is included with each room or suite.
Gambling
There are both table games and electronic games at this casino.
Baccarat, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, 3 Card Baccarat, Sic Bo, American roulette, and the Fortune Wheel are offered as table games.
Regarding electronic gaming, this casino is well-equipped. There are nearly 800 slot machines with denominations ranging from 5 cents to $6,000. There are also progressive jackpot slots.
Crazy Paris Show is the name of the Grand Lisboa’s resident dance show under Attractions & Amusements. In addition, specific dance performances such as French Can Can, India Dance, Pole Dancing, and the Sway are included. You may see a show anywhere on the casino floor between 2:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
Additionally, there is a Gift Gallery where you may purchase souvenirs and presents.
Why the Grand Lisboa is awarded 2.5 stars
Given the daily number of travelers that visit Macau, the 430 hotel rooms and suites at this hotel complex can sell out very quickly. The gaming establishments provide an extensive selection of games and slot machines. However, if you do not feel like gambling, there is not much else to do besides watch a show, swim in the pool, visit the spa, or work out in the gym. Moreover, as enjoyable as these performances may be, they are hardly headlining performances. Although one might have a nice stay at the Grand Lisboa, they are likely to want to leave the hotel to visit other sites and performances.
